The Jefferson park and recreation department hosted the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick local competition last Tuesday, Sept. 23. Boys and girls ages 6-15 years were invited to compete in this free event, and 29 youngsters accepted the invitation. All participants earned certificates and the top three places in each age division earned ribbons.
Following are the results for the top three finishers (in order, first to third) in each age division: boys 6/7, Adam Bills, Donovan Martin, Isaac Carman; girls 6/7, Abby Summers; boys 8/9, Corbin Blair, Brynley Ruzicka, Brent Dennhardt; girls 8/9, Hailey Hoyle; boys 10/11, Brigham Daniel, Waylen Gemberling, Joe Carey; girls 10/11, Kendal Fecher; and 14/15 boys, Devin Burgart.
Individuals placing first will move on to the sectional competition to be held Oct. 18 in Louisville, NE. They could qualify for the team championship competition to be held at a home Kansas City Chiefs game.
